Nicole and Jordan had originally planned to have their intimate ceremony in Boise, Idaho a year before. After they took a last-minute trip out to Jackson, Wyoming they fell in love with the vibes of the town and the mountains and decided to reschedule their wedding and plan it in the Tetons the following year. The mountains showed off for them on their wedding day, giving them rainstorms, rainbows, and crystal blue skies all within a 7 hour time span.
Getting Ready at the White Buffalo Club
THE WHITE BUFFALO CLUB HOTEL is a great location in town to stay at for your elopement. It’s in a central location that is within walking distance of most restaurants and bars, even on a chilly day. Nicole and Jordan got ready separately in their suite. Jordan and their son got dressed together in their matching tuxes they got from the BOISE TUXEDO SHOP and Nicole got dressed with her mom and sister’s help after she finished getting her hair and makeup done by the amazing BEAUTY BY AUTYM, who is our absolute favorite hair and makeup artist in the Jackson area.
First Look in Kelly, Wyoming
Nicole and Jordan opted to say their vows in private during their first look right outside of Grand Teton National Park. The final rainstorm of the day was rolling through right as Nicole made her way to Jordan and their son, making for a windy and cold first look. Sometimes you have to roll with the punches that Mother Nature hands you during elopements in the mountains, but I had some feeling it would all be worth it. After sharing their emotional vows, we took a few photos with the beautiful yellow and orange fall colors, and then made our way up to The Wedding Tree.

Rainbow after the Storm in time for their Wedding Tree Ceremony
Once arriving at The Wedding Tree parking area, it began to rain pretty heavily. I checked the radar to see if the storm would pass quickly, and luckily it looked like we would only have to wait 15-20 minutes for it to pass. I went out to the ceremony location and made sure everything looked good to go once we decided to start the ceremony. After about 20 minutes the storm weakened into a light mist, and the sun began to shine over the hills. Nicole, Jordan, and their guests all got out of their cars and were stunned to see the most vibrant and beautiful rainbow anyone had ever seen before. It was too perfect to not snap dozens of photos, which are some of our favorite photos that we’ve ever taken. We walked out to their ceremony location and were so happy to see that the Tetons decided to make an appearance for the first time that day. The light was harsh and crisp, and Jordan could not keep his eyes off both his bride and the beautiful mountains in the distance.
Couples Photos at Mormon Row
After their beautiful ceremony the newly married couple ventured down to MORMON ROW, the perfect photo spot with a beautiful valley leading up to the Tetons. There was another storm system rolling through in the distance, and the clouds were lit up orange and pink by the setting sun in the west. These two danced around together and took in the last moments of light on their wedding day with a Teton backdrop.
Reception Dinner at Il Villaggio Osteria
Dinner time! Nicole and Jordan decided to invite all of their guests to a private dinner reception at IL VILLAGGIO OSTERIA, a restaurant in the Teton Village. The food was amazing, served family style with multiple courses. They shared a few toasts and decided to finish off the night back at their hotel room for an early bedtime because wedding days are long days for everyone!
