Western Inspired Elopement in Grand Teton National Park

Heather and Logan decided to have an intimate elopement out west and a few of Heather’s closest friends came along for the ride! After a heartfelt first look at SCHWABACHER LANDING, these two ventured off to the Mormon Row South ceremony location for an intimate ceremony led by their friends. Logan has never been to the Tetons before, so Heather wanted to make sure we had plenty of time to go to different locations throughout the park to see all the views and wildlife we possibly could! They even saw a herd of bison, which is something they were very excited to see before a late evening lighting storm rolled in! Talk about an epic elopement day!!

Getting Ready at Cowboy Village Resort

The COWBOY VILLAGE RESORT is a great spot to stay in town for your big day if you are looking for a Western vibe. While it is in close proximity to downtown Jackson, it is far enough removed from the main part of town to feel a little more private.

First Look at Schwabacher Landing

Schwabacher Landing is the perfect spot for a first look on your wedding day if you want trees and water in the foreground of a Teton view. Heather and Logan loved this spot and wanted to make sure they took time to get photos here before their ceremony.

Elopement Ceremony at Mormon Row South

Mormon Row South is a unique ceremony location that has views of the Tetons and the Mormon Row barn in the background. While the new ceremony spot is a little bit further away from the barn, you still get a stunning view of the barn and the mountains in the background. If you want a Western vibe we highly recommend either of the MORMON ROW ceremony spots!

Elopement Photos in GTNP

We went to a few iconic spots within the national park for photos after their ceremony. The CHAPEL OF TRANSFIGURATION was one of their favorite spots they wanted to go to, a stunning church in the park with beautiful views of the Tetons through a small window. This church also has beautiful stained-glass windows, and on a sunny day, they reflect a stunning orange light into the church.

After the church we went to get some road photos near Jenny Lake, and then made our way to OXBOW BEND for some water photos. From there it was off to ELK RANCH FLATS TURNOUT, which is where Heather and Logan got to see some Bison and get some epic photos with them in the background.

Downtown Jackson and the Cowboy Bar

One of Heather’s friends was sneaky enough to get in contact with the DJ at the COWBOY BAR and asked to play Heather and Logan’s first dance song for them once they got to the bar. The dance floor cleared, and these two had a special moment in front of everyone sharing their first dance together! It was a pretty special moment if you ask us….. After they shared their first dance they went downstairs to the MILLION DOLLAR STEAKHOUSE and indulged in some cake while they waited for their yummy dinner!
