Megan, Chase, and their loved ones made the trip to the Tetons all the way out from Indiana, and they were rewarded with an incredible wedding day with gorgeous lighting and weather!
We arrived at their VRBO in the Aspens neighborhood late morning and Matt captured photos of Chase getting ready while Lauren captured Megan getting ready. The house was in a gorgeous spot in the pine trees and the group was excited to get the day going. Once Megan was done getting ready she did a super cute first look with her father on the boardwalk.

First look with Chase
From there Matt hopped in the car with Chase and they got a head start to Mormon Row to get set up for the first look. Lauren drove Megan shortly after and once they got to Mormon Row we did the first look. The first look was adorable and there was a massive herd of bison nearby to witness it!

Mormon Row Couples Photos
Once they were done with the first look and took in the scenery and bison, we captured a few couples photos and individual photos of the two of them. The vast field at Mormon Row with the Tetons towering above always makes for such amazing photos.
After getting shots in the field we always like to hop over to the famous barns to get a few more cool shots before moving on the to the next thing on the timeline.

Ceremony at The Wedding Tree
From Mormon Row it was up to The Wedding Tree, where the rest of their group was waiting for them. Once everyone was settled in we gave them the thumbs up and they began the processional. They hired string players to play as they did the processional which is always such an amazing touch!
The ceremony was gorgeous and heartfelt and the lighting couldn’t have been better!! Once the ceremony was over Megan and Chase gave celebratory hugs to all their loved ones before moving on to their first dance.

First Dance with String Players
Megan and Chase did their first dance right near the tree surrounded by their loved ones while the string players played music. It was such a magical moment and we can’t imagine a more special or scenic first dance!

Group Photos and Family Photos
Once they were done with their first dance, we took photos of the whole group and individual groupings.
A pre-made photo list of all the groupings is a must and helps us move so much faster through family and group photos! This is something we always help our couples with and Matt helps wrangle people and get them on deck while Lauren shoots the photos.

More Couples Photos
Once the group left to head back to town, we snagged some more photos of Megan and Chase at the tree before heading to another epic spot for more photos. We call the second spot the “wall hanger” spot because of how dramatic the photos always turn out.

Hike to Jackson Lake for Private Vows
Once we left the wall hanger spot we headed to a trailhead near the shores of Jackson Lake. It’s an awesome spot that sees very little traffic which is why it’s our go-to when couples want a short hike to the lake. The trail leads to a secluded beach with a view of the Tetons and the sound of waves lapping onto the shoreline.
Megan and Chase did their personal vows privately on the shores of the lake. Private vows before or after the ceremony has become popular for couples that don’t want to exchange their personal vows in front of family and friends. It’s a great option and we always encourage it if you don’t think you’ll be comfortable exchanging these very personal words with each other in front of others.

Final Pit Stop
Once the hike was finished we did one final photo pit stop on the way back to town. We got the photos and then said our goodbyes and well wishes to the two of them before they headed back to their group for dinner.
It was such a perfect day for these two and we’re grateful they got to come out and experience the Tetons for their wedding trip. Congrats to Megan and Chase, may their marriage be filled with boundless adventures and laughs!
