Brady and Kjerstin had a gorgeous, action packed wedding day in the Tetons, and we were grateful to be there to capture it!
They had a welcome dinner the night before at Roadhouse Brewing Co. which we captured. It was great to get to know them and the group the day before the wedding, which always helps settle some of those nerves before the day for both the couple and us.
They were also kind enough to provide us dinner at the welcome dinner, which we were extremely grateful for! Everyone was buzzing with excitement to be in the Tetons and celebrate Brady and Kjerstin.

Getting Ready at The Wort
The next day we arrived at their hotel to capture them getting ready. They were staying in the Silver Dollar Suite at The Wort Hotel, which is an awesome historic hotel in Downtown Jackson. The room had a lot of character and allowed plenty of space for them to get ready separately. Matt captured Brady getting ready while Lauren captured Kjerstin getting ready. On days with no video coverage, we typically like to divide and conquer for getting ready coverage to save time and allow more coverage for the rest of the day.

First Looks
Once they were both done getting ready, Brady stepped out and we got Kjerstin’s father ready for a first look in the main area of the suite. Their first look was adorable!!
After the first look with her father, we walked Kjerstin to the spot where Brady was waiting for a first look. Their daughters helped carry her dress down the stairs before the first look which was super cute.

Cascade Canyon for Private Vows
From The Wort we headed to Cascade Canyon for some couples photos and for Brady and Kjerstin to exchange their personal vows privately.
Private vows before or after the ceremony has become popular for couples that don’t want to exchange their personal vows in front of family and friends. It’s a great option and we always encourage it if you don’t think you’ll be comfortable exchanging these very personal words with each other in front of others.

More couples photos
From Cascade Canyon Turnout we bounced over to another spot on the inner park loop to get a few more couples photos and individual photos on the way to the ceremony.
We chose a spot that has a big open field right below the Tetons which can make for some awesome dramatic photos!

Ceremony at Snake River Overlook
From there it was off to Snake River Overlook where the rest of the group was waiting. The spot is gorgeous, but keep in mind that it’s one of the most crowded spots in the park for a ceremony. It’s a pullout off the main highway, and a lot of the big tour buses like to stop here on their way through the park. We waited for the best gap we could between crowds and then began the ceremony.
Matt officiated the ceremony, which is something we’ve been offering couples when it’s just them or a small group.

Family and Group Photos
After the ceremony and some celebratory hugs, we jumped into some family and group photos.
A pre-made photo list of all the groupings is a must and helps us move so much faster through family and group photos! This is something we always help our couples with and Matt helps wrangle people and get them on deck while Lauren shoots the photos.

Post-ceremony fun
Once we were finished with group photos it was time for some champagne and for ‘The Megans’ to sign the marriage license. Their two friends, whom were both named Megan, were an absolute blast on the day and were stoked to sign the marriage license as the two witnesses. After they signed it the group popped some champagne and celebrated Brady and Kjerstin.

Schwabacher Landing
Once the rest of the group headed to downtown to get ready for the dinner reception, we went with Brady and Kjerstin to a couple more spots for photos.
The first spot was Schwabacher Landing, which is absolutely drop dead gorgeous in the fall.

Final Photo Spot
From Schwabacher we headed to one last photo spot that had a good variety of fall colors and a meadow with a Teton view. The juxtaposition of the fall colors and the bright blue skies was too cool not to get a few photos of!
Once we were done at that spot it was off to Downtown Jackson for the dinner reception to celebrate for the rest of the evening!

Dinner reception at Gather
We headed to Gather in Jackson Hole, which is a killer restaurant in Downtown. They had half of the restaurant reserved for their reception, and the whole group was there waiting to give them a big welcome. The group grubbed on some killer food, had some great cocktails, and there were a few toasts given.
When it was almost time to leave the restaurant, a worker informed them that they still had over $1,000 left before hitting their minimum. It was time for tequila shots for the whole group! Most of the group took a tequila shot, and the restaurant let them take nice bottles of champagne home to hit the rest of their minimum which was great.

After Party
The plan for the group after the reception was to go to the cowboy bar, and Brady and Kjerstin wanted us to capture a few photos of them outside the bar. They invited us up to their hotel room while they got ready to go out which made for some awesome ‘behind the scenes’ photos. From the hotel we went to the antlers and the Cowboy Bar to get some final photos of the two of them.
After snapping the final photos it was time for them to head inside with their group and party the night away, so we said our farewells and good wishes. It was such an amazing day and group of people and we’re so grateful they chose us to capture their day and treated us like family. Congrats to Brady and Kjerstin, may their marriage be filled with boundless adventures and laughs!
