Sydney and Stone knew they wanted wildflowers on their elopement day, so early June was the best shot to make it happen. As we hoped for, the flowers were booming and the overcast weather all day made for even better lighting for dreamy photos.
We showed up to their airbnb in Driggs late morning to capture them getting ready before we headed over the pass to the park. Victor and Driggs are on the Idaho side of the pass and offer much more affordable large short term rental houses. These two towns are probably the best option for staying with your whole group in one house affordably.
After the two of them finished getting ready Sydney did a cute first look with her father in the backyard before we hit the road to the park.

First Look at Glacier View
From their airbnb we headed over the pass to Glacier View Turnout for Sydney and Stone’s first look. They were both anxious to see each other and both knew that their nerves for the day would subside once they saw each other. Their first look was adorable and they took in the moment for a few minutes before we captured some photos of them together.

Private Vows at Schwabacher
From Glacier View Turnout we headed to Schwabacher Landing, where Sydney and Stone opted to do private vows. Private vows before or after the ceremony has become popular for couples that don’t want to exchange their personal vows in front of family and friends. It’s a great option and we always encourage it if you don’t think you’ll be comfortable exchanging these very personal words with each other in front of others.

Schwabacher Couples Photos
After they exchanged their vows and took in the moment, we captured a few couples photos and individual photos of the two of them. Schwabacher was showing off as it usually does in June with the water, greenery, and snowcapped Tetons in the background.

Ceremony in the Wildflowers
From Schwabacher we headed to the ceremony location, which we were stoked about because we knew the wildflowers were popping. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect for the ceremony, as a storm was moving in as we began but held off just long enough until the ceremony was finished.
After the ceremony concluded, Sydney and Stone gave their group big hugs and took in the moment.

Family Photos
Once they were finished celebrating with their loved ones, we hopped into some family photos. It’s hard to beat having family photos on your day in the park with the Tetons towering above and flowers littering the ground!
As soon as we finished family photos the storm hit us and it dumped rain for a bit, so we signed the marriage license inside the car before their group headed back to town to get ready for dinner.

Couples Photos in the Rain
Once the rest of the group hit the road, we went back out into the flowers with Sydney and Stone to capture some epic photos in the drizzling rain.

Cascade Canyon Turnout
From there we headed to Cascade Canyon Turnout for more couples photos. The drizzle continued to come and go, so we were able to take advantage of it with some great umbrella photos during the rainy periods. There’s something so special about the rainy days in the park, especially when it’s just a light rain. The rainbows love to make a showing on these days as well.

Cathedral Group Turnout
From Cascade Canyon we bounced over to Cathedral Group Turnout for some cool photos in the road. This spot is perfect for getting photos in the road and you’re right below the Tetons so they look super dramatic. There were plenty of flowers around in this area as well and we saw some antelope while driving between spots!

Cake and more flowers
After Cathedral Group Turnout we headed to our final spot for some cake and more photos in the flowers. This spot is one of our little hidden gems that we utilize for gorgeous flower photos. There’s usually no one else around and it’s a great spot to go at the end of a wedding day to enjoy some peace and some epic scenery.
After Sydney and Stone enjoyed their cake and we snapped some final photos of them they said they had really been wanting to see a moose while they were in town. We told them to follow us on a alternative route back to town that tends to have moose in the evenings. Sure enough, there was a cute female moose in the spot and Sydney and Stone were stoked they got to see it.
After watching the moose for a little bit we said our goodbyes and well wishes to them before they hit the road back to their group. It was such a gorgeous day and these two had such a beautiful love for each other! Congrats to Sydney and Stone, may their love be filled with boundless adventures and laughs!
