Gisel and Hunter had quite the magical wedding day in Jackson Hole with their closest friends and family!
They were staying at two separate houses in Victor, Idaho which is a great location for more affordadable short term rental houses. It’s a 35 to 40 minute drive from Victor to Jackson, but it can certainly be worth it when you save thousands of dollars on lodging!
We arrived to Hunter’s house late morning and captured him finishing getting ready before moving on to Gisel’s house to capture her and her crew getting ready.

First Look with Dad and Brothers
Once Gisel was finished getting ready we got her father set up for a first look behind the house, followed by her brothers. Both first looks were super cute and the rest of her group watched and cheered from the back balcony.

First Look with Hunter at Mormon Row
After her first look with her father and brothers we all drove over the pass to the park and met at Mormon Row. Matt got a few-minute head start in Hunter’s car so he could get him set up for the first look before Gisel arrived. Once Gisel arrived they did their first look which was adorable and then we snapped a few photos of them before moving on to Schwabacher Landing for their private vows!

Private vows at Schwabacher
Gisel and Hunter wanted to exchange their personal vows privately before the ceremony which has become more and more popular over the last couple years. It’s a great way to still do personal vows without having to say them in front of your whole group and you can still do traditional vows during the ceremony.
They did their private vows at Schwabacher Landing, where there were still a few fall colors hanging on. Unfortunately a lot of the colors had gotten blown off from a big wind storm a couple days beforehand. If you want the best shot at full blown fall colors on your day shoot for the last week of September through the first week of October! That being said, Schwabacher was still gorgeous after losing some of its colors.

Ceremony at Colter Bay
From Schwabacher we headed to Colter Bay where the rest of the group was waiting. Once we made sure everyone was ready to go, we walked down to the shoreline where the ceremony would take place.
Colter Bay is a spot that we would only recommend super early in the morning during the summer, or in the evening in the fall like Gisel and Hunter did. During the middle of the day in the summer and fall, the beach can be packed with people and won’t be very private and is loud with children screaming and people splashing in the water.
During Gisel and Hunter’s ceremony there wasn’t a single other soul around and it was a private, gorgeous ceremony officiated by one of Gisel’s brothers which was super special. After the ceremony was over, there was plenty of celebratory hugs to go around!

Family and Group Photos
After celebrating for a bit with their loved ones, we walked back up near the picnic area to get some family and group photos. The group was ready to get off the big rocks on the beach that were hard to balance and walk on so we decided to do the group photos up top.
A pre-made photo list of all the groupings is a must and helps us move so much faster through family and group photos! This is something we always help our couples with and Matt helps wrangle people and get them on deck while Lauren shoots the photos.

Couples photos before the reception
After group photos, the rest of the group headed to town to get situated at the reception spot and we went with Gisel and Hunter to a couple of quick spots on the way to town to get more photos of them. It was a gorgeous evening and they were looking forward to having a pizza dinner and cake after a long day!

Dinner reception at Hand Fire Pizza
After a couple photo spots it was off to the reception at Hand Fire Pizza in Jackson. They rented out the upstairs area which worked out great and seemed like a pretty reasonable price based on what they told us. A few people did toasts and then everyone ate from the pizza and salad buffet. They fed us as well which we were super grateful for!
After Gisel and Hunter were finished eating they cut their cake and then their mothers helped serve it for everyone which was very thoughtful and cute. The cake was a delicious funfetti flavor!

Photos downtown
After the reception was over, we took a photo of the entire group in front of the personalized retro sign out front before they said goodbye to most of their folks. Once they said goodbye to most of the group, we went with some of them to the antlers for a couple more photos and photos of Gisel and Hunter in front of the Cowboy Bar and the personalized pizza sign.
After taking the final photos we said our goodbyes to them and wished them well on the rest of their trip. Such a beautiful day and experience for these two and their loved ones!! Congrats to Gisel and Hunter, may their marriage be filled with boundless adventures and laughs!
