Jenna and Austin had an absolutely gorgeous wedding in the Tetons in late June. The mountains were still covered with snow, there were a few wildflowers still out and about, the greenery was popping, and the lighting was sublime. June is one of our favorite months in the Tetons!
They opted for no getting ready coverage but still wanted to do a first look, so we met them at Schwabacher Landing for the first look. Austin got dressed with some help from Jenna, and then Matt took him down to the spot to get him situated for the first look. Once he was out of sight, Jenna got into her dress and then Lauren walked her down to where he was waiting. The first look was adorable and Jenna wiped away the tears that Austin couldn’t hold back.
There was a moose hanging out in the water so we of course had to snap a few photos with it in the background after the first look!

Wall Hanger Shots
From Schwabacher we headed to our favorite spot for dramatic photos of the Tetons towering high above. It looks even cooler at this spot when there’s still snow on the mountains!

Creek and Cabins
After getting the wowzer shots we headed to a gorgeous spot that has a creek and some historic rustic cabins. There were even a few yellow wildflowers still hanging on. The best time for wildflowers in the Tetons is late May through Mid June, but sometimes a few still still hang around until late June.
There were also a couple of marmots that were unbothered and they chillaxed while we took photos near them. Those marmots have some prime real estate!!

Cascade Canyon
From the creek and cabins it was off to a couple more quick pit stops before the ceremony. The next spot was Cascade Canyon, which offers a unique view of the mountains and a stunning canyon.
We always say that there’s 100 different Teton views because it’s true! There’s so many unique angles and spots in the National Park and each one feels different.

Mormon Row
After Cascade Canyon we headed to one more spot on the way to The Wedding Tree. Mormon Row is a popular pit stop for couples getting married at The Wedding Tree because it’s on the way and it’s a beautiful spot. The vast green field is gorgeous in the spring and early summer. Austin and Jenna were pregnant with a little one and wanted a few pictures with ultra sound photos at Mormon Row which was super cute!

Ceremony at the wedding tree
From Mormon Row we headed up the hill to The Wedding Tree, where the rest of their group was waiting for them. Jenna did a few makeup touchups and said hello to some loved ones while Matt got everyone situated for the ceremony. Once everyone was ready, we gave Jenna and her father the thumbs up and they began their walk down the aisle. It was a beautiful ceremony and everyone let out big hoots and hollers after the first kiss. Austin and Jenna gave lots of celebratory hugs to everyone and tears were flowing.
One of their friends officiated the ceremony which is always super special! We always recommend having a loved one officiate your ceremony if possible!

Family and Group Photos
After Jenna and Austin had taken time to celebrate with everyone, we snapped some family and group photos. A pre-made photo list of all the groupings is a must and helps us move so much faster through family and group photos! This is something we always help our couples with and Matt helps wrangle people and get them on deck while Lauren shoots the photos.

Marriage License and GTNP Sign
After family and group photos they made things official by signing the marriage license. The group then all headed to town to get ready for dinner, and Austin and Jenna wanted a few final photos at the Grand Teton National Park welcome sign. We told them to follow us on an alternate route to the sign where moose frequent. Sure enough, there was a giant bull moose hanging out down below at the spot. Two moose on your wedding day has to be good luck right?!
Once we got to the sign we snagged a few more final photos before sending them off to their group for dinner. What a gorgeous day and we’re so happy for them and their little one that’s on the way! Congrats to Jenna and Austin, may their marriage be filled with boundless adventures and laughs!
