Chase and Malie had it all on their wedding day! Snow covered Tetons, wildflowers, a gorgeous ceremony, and an intimate reception at a brewery in town.
We began the day where Chase and his crew were getting ready, which was a super nice VRBO rental house in Victor, Idaho. Victor is the closest you can stay to the Idaho side of Teton Pass and is always a great option for lodging (especially with bigger groups).

Malie Getting Ready
From Chase’s lodging we headed to Malie’s lodging: a super quaint place called Blue Spruce Inn. This house slept a ton of people, had a big common room and kitchen with tons of room, and was right nextdoor to some beautiful horses. Before getting dressed, Malie and her mother couldn’t help but pet some of the horses over the fence.
We also captured some adorable photos of Malie with her grandmothers in front of some flowers that were nearby. This lodging option was pretty awesome and in an excellent location!

First Look at Jenny Lake
Once Malie was finished getting ready, Chase picked Matt up so they could get a head start to the first look spot and then Lauren drove Malie a few minutes later. Matt got Chase situated at the spot once they got there, and once Malie was ready we got into the first look. It was an adorable first look and the scenery was pretty unreal! June is gorgeous in the Tetons.

Photos at Jenny Lake
After Chase and Malie took in the moment we made a short walk to another spot on the shores of Jenny Lake for some more stunning photos.
On our way back to the parking area Chase stopped for a few moments to watch the spawning trout from the bridge and then we spotted a deer near the trail which made for a cute photo of the two of them!

Wildflowers
From Jenny Lake we headed to another spot that we knew would have some wildflowers popping. This spot shall remain unnamed because it is prone to overcrowding and trampling of the wildflowers if word gets out too much. In our opinion, it isn’t “gatekeeping” if it’s keeping nature preserved!
We snapped some photos of Chase and Malie at the wildflower spot before moving on to a different spot for their private vows.

Private Vows at Blacktail Ponds Overlook
After the wildflower photos we headed to Blacktail Ponds Overlook for their private vows. Private vows have started to become more popular and it’s a great way to still exchange personal vows on your day without saying them in front of your whole group!
Chase and Malie’s vows were beautiful and the tears were flowing.

One last pit stop at Mormon Row
After Blacktail Ponds we made one last pit stop at Mormon Row on the way to the ceremony. It’s hard not to when the green of the field is popping and the Tetons are flush with snow!

Ceremony at The Wedding Tree
After Mormon Row it was off to The Wedding Tree where the rest of the group was waiting and ready for the ceremony. Once we arrived, we got everyone situated and where they needed to be and then the processional began and the ceremony was under way!
Chase’s father officiated the ceremony which was super special. We always recommend (if possible) having someone from your group officiate your ceremony… it only helps the day be more memorable and special!
Once the ceremony was over there were lots of tears flowing and lots of celebratory hugs shared.

Family and Group Photos
Once Chase and Malie were finished celebrating with everyone after the ceremony, we captured family and group photos of everyone that was there. A pre-made photo list of all the groupings is a must and helps us move so much faster through family and group photos! This is something we always help our couples with and Matt helps wrangle people and get them on deck while Lauren shoots the photos.

Reception at Roadhouse Brewing Co.
After group and family photos it was time to head to town for their dinner reception! Malie and Chase chose Roadhouse Brewing Co. because of their offering that comes with a private room and tasty food at a fair price.
They had some drinks, ate some dinner and then a couple of their loved ones gave toasts which got some tears flowing yet again.
They were kind enough to feed us dinner as well which we are always extremely grateful for!

Cowboy Bar and Antlers
After the reception we snapped a few final photos of the two of them in front of the Cowboy Bar and in front of the antlers as their group blew bubbles and cheered them on.
What an incredible day for these two and their group, and we’re so grateful that they got to come out from the South to experience the Tetons on their day! We’re also so grateful that Malie, Chase, and all our other incredible couples choose and trust us to capture their special days. It will never get old and we love every minute of it!
Congrats to Malie and Chase, may their marriage be filled with boundless adventures and laughs!
