Madison, Bailey, and their friends and families made the haul out from Texas to the Tetons for an epic wedding trip! October 2025 was the month of Texas for us… we had 3 couples in a row from Texas!
Madison and Bailey were staying with their families in a great VRBO rental house in Driggs, Idaho which is where we arrived in the morning. Driggs, Victor, Tetonia, and Alpine are all great options for more affordable large rental houses and are definitely worth a look!

First Look
After Madison and Bailey were finished getting ready we got Bailey set up in the field behind the house for a first look. He was blown away with Madison’s dress and beauty and it was adorable.
We let them take in the moment for a few minutes and then snagged a couple quick photos in the field before it was time to hit the road and head over the pass!

Schwabacher Landing
The two of them wanted to hit at least one spot for photos on the way to the ceremony, so we chose Schwabacher Landing because it wouldn’t be too much of a detour and we knew there would still be a few fall colors hanging around there.
As you can see, a lot of the leaves had already fallen because of a windy day the day before. The date was October 7th which is a tad bit early for the Schwabacher leaves to be gone. The best bet for fall colors to still be going everywhere is September 20th to around October 7th. Beyond the 7th there will likely still be full-on leaves in some places but not the entire park.
That being said, it’s still gorgeous and the fall lighting is still sublime!

Quick Pit Stop
On the way to the ceremony we made one more quick pit stop for a few epic photos!

Ceremony
Madison and Bailey were originally supposed to have their ceremony at Glacier View Turnout in the park. A couple days before, they went to scope out the spot and didn’t like how close it was to the main highway and that their ceremony wouldn’t be fully private. They asked us if we could help them have the ceremony at a more private spot, which we made happen. Since it was too late to get a permit for a different spot in the park we took them to a spot just outside the park.
This is a friendly reminder that the National Park is public land and there may be other visitors nearby. 99% of the time people are respectful and keep their distance, and most of the spots are far enough from parking areas that they won’t be able to hear what is being said during the ceremony.
If you’re worried about privacy consider The Wedding Tree or let us know and we can help you decide on a spot in the park that will provide as much privacy as possible. We know the park and all of its ins and outs like the back of our hand so we know where and when to avoid!
The ceremony ended up being beautiful and they gave lots of celebratory hugs to their loved ones afterwards!

Family and Group Photos
After celebrating with their group we snapped family and group photos of everyone before people started to head back to town for dinner.
Coordinating with us beforehand on group/family photos will help it go by much quicker which means more candid time celebrating with your loved ones! Matt usually helps wrangle people and get them on deck while Lauren shoots the photos.

Mormon Row
Once the group took off for town we went with Madison and Bailey to a couple more spots for some more bridal photos. The fall evening lighting was showing off big time!
The first stop was Mormon Row, where the golden brown field glows in the fall evenings.

Blacktail Ponds Overlook
After Mormon Row it was off to one final spot for photos before sending them off to dinner with their group.
We decided on Blacktail Ponds Overlook since it’s on the way to town from Mormon Row and it can make for some gorgeous blue light photos. After we snagged a couple photos they took in the mountains and the stillness of the air for a few minutes before we said our goodbyes. We always try to make sure our couples get at least a few minutes to themselves to take in the scenery and the moment because the rest of the day can be a blur! Watching the Tetons in the evening after sunset will give you the chills big time, every single time.
We said goodbye to them and wished them well on the rest of their evening and the rest of their trip and we hope it was a great rest of the trip! Congrats to Madison and Bailey, may their marriage be filled with boundless adventures and laughs!
