Bree and Brandon reached out to us in May, wanting to elope in the Tetons in September. We told them that the best route for their ceremony was likely The Wedding Tree, so they didn’t have to deal with the National Park permit system. With their date being less than 6 months away, a lot of the prime spots in the National Park would have likely already been secured as well, so The Wedding Tree seemed like a good call.
In addition to being a good last minute option for weekdays, The Wedding Tree offers more privacy than some of the spots in the park which is another thing we love about it.
Once their day rolled around in September we met them at the parking area for the tree and Brandon got finished getting dressed and then headed up to the tree so Matt could get him set up in a good first look spot. After he left, Bree got dressed and then we did the first look which was so darn cute!!

Ceremony
After their first look and letting them take in the moment, we went between the infamous trees and began the ceremony! During this they did a unique sand unity ceremony that involved pouring sand into a glass jar in a certain order which ended up turning out really cool. They wanted to say their personal vows privately at a different spot after their ceremony, so the vows during the ceremony were more traditional ones that the officiant ran them through.
After they exchanged rings and were pronounced they sealed the deal with a kiss and let out a hoot and a holler! They turned around to hug and take in the Tetons for a few moments.

Couples photos and individual photos at the tree
After they had a few moments to themselves we grabbed some couples photos and individual photos of the two of them. We make sure we always get at least a few individual photos of each person because you need to be able to look back years from now and remember how damn good you looked on your day!!

Private vows
From the tree we headed to another cool spot where they exchanged their personal vows. Their vows were super cute and the lighting was magical which made for some stunners! The evening lighting in the fall can be hard to beat sometimes.

Blacktail Ponds Overlook
From there we headed to Blacktail Ponds Overlook for a different perspective and some cake. They took in the majesty of the Tetons and the stillness of the air for a few minutes at this spot while we snapped some photos of them. At one point a flock of birds flew over them which made for a cool shot.
After a few photos they popped the trunk of their rental car and busted out their cake. They enjoyed their cake together as the Tetons towered above them in one direction, and the moon rose above the hill in the other direction.
After cake we gave them some recommendations for the rest of their trip and then said our goodbyes. What a beautiful laid back day for these two!! Congrats to Bree and Brandon, may their marriage be filled with countless adventures and laughs!
