Meagan and Keanu wanted a laid back micro wedding in the Tetons with their closest friends and Taggart Lake was the perfect place to do it!
We met them at the Taggart Lake Trailhead, made sure they had everything they needed for the ceremony, and then hit the trail to the lake.
They opted to get dressed up at the lake so they could be more comfortable on the hike up and not sweat out their nice clothes. The hike up was gorgeous and we made great time to the lake!
Getting dressed and the ceremony
Once we got to the lake everyone took in the view for a few minutes, and then Meagan and Keanu found a private spot tucked away in the trees to get dressed. After they were dressed it was time for a little bit of hairspray touch-ups from a friend and then they climbed up onto the rock for the ceremony.
Their good friend officiated the ceremony which was super special and there was a lot of good humor thrown in. Their daughter handed off the rings when it was time and she covered her eyes when they kissed. She was a hoot and Meagan and Keanu said it was super important that she got to be there on their day.

After the ceremony the whole group did a cheers with some brewskis before signing the marriage license. There was hardly anyone else around at the lake which is one reason we always recommend going to Taggart Lake in the evening instead of the middle of the day.
After signing the marriage license we took group photos with everyone that was there before getting some epic shots of Meagan and Keanu.
The Hike Down
Once everyone was ready to depart from the lake we made the trek back down to the trailhead, stopping here and there for a few cute photos!

Once we made it back to the trailhead area we couldn’t help but grab a few final photos of Meagan and Keanu next to the stunning wildflowers!
Most of the wildflowers in the Jackson Hole area are yellow so we just had to take advantage of the unique reds, purples, AND yellows at this spot.
After snagging those final photos we said our goodbyes and well wishes to the group. We can’t think of a better laid back day for these two and their group and we had a blast with them! Congrats to Meagan and Keanu, may their marriage be filled with boundless adventures and laughs!
