Madi and Nick made the trek across the country to the Tetons to get married and were rewarded with incredible fall colors and a perfect wedding day!
They opted for no getting ready coverage and wanted to go straight into a first look so we met them at Mountain View Turnout. Nick arrived first and we got him situated so he wouldn’t see Madi when her car pulled up. She arrived shortly after and did a few touchups and then we went into the adorable first look.

Private Vows at Jenny Lake
After the first look we hopped over to Jenny Lake for private vows. If you don’t feel comfortable saying your personal vows in front of your group don’t feel afraid to do them privately at some other point on your day! It’s more popular than you think and your group won’t mind.
The colors at Jenny Lake were spectacular and made for a gorgeous setting. The date was October 10th. This is about the latest we recommend having your day if you want good fall colors. The prime time varies every year but a good bet for colors is September 20th through October 10th!
After Madi and Nick exchanged their beautiful private vows we captured some more pictures of them on the shores of the lake before heading to the ceremony location.

Off to the ceremony
From Jenny Lake we headed to Mormon Row North for the ceremony. This is one of the most popular spots in the park for ceremonies so if you’re wanting to get married at this location let us know and we can help you get your best shot at securing it!
Once we got Nick and all of the guests in place we began the ceremony. It surely wasn’t an uneventful ceremony, as the person that was in charge of carrying the rings forgot them in the car!! When she made the realization after the officiant asked for the rings she sprinted like Usain Bolt to the cars and grabbed them. Everyone was good sports and had a good laugh about it.
Nick’s father officiated the ceremony which was super special!

Family and Group Photos
After celebratory hugs and taking in the moment, we snagged some family and group photos so the rest of the group could head back into town to start getting ready for dinner.

Couples photos at Mormon Row
After group photos all of the guests headed to town and we stayed with Madi and Nick for more photos.
We snagged some at Mormon Row before moving on to a final location for their first dance. Mormon Row always makes for gorgeous couples photos with the big open field and the Tetons!

Schwabacher Landing First Dance
From Mormon Row we boogied over to Schwabacher Landing for their first dance. The fall colors had started to dwindle here but there were still a few around and it was still a beautiful setting with the water and the Tetons.
After their first dance they signed the marriage license and we said our goodbyes and well wishes before they headed off to enjoy the rest of the evening with their group. We’re so glad Madi, Nick, and all of their guests got to come all the way out from the South to experience the Tetons together! Congrats to Madi and Nick, may their marriage be filled with countless adventures and laughs!
