Hannah and Damien put on quite the celebration with their family and friends in Jackson Hole and we’re grateful we were there to capture it!
They both got ready at separate condos in The Aspens, which is one of our favorite recommendations for lodging for our couples. They provide a good value compared to the hotels in Jackson and the area is quieter than Downtown Jackson. There’s a lot of variety in the types of condos in addition to some houses. Our couples also see a lot of moose and foxes in this neighborhood as well!
We went to Damien’s condo first to capture him and his crew get ready. Pro tip: if you’re thinking of wearing a bow tie on your day make sure you pre-tie it or just use a clip-on bowtie! We’ve had numerous days where tying the bow tie puts us behind schedule and it usually ends up becoming a whole team effort to get it tied. Keep it simple and use a clip-on or pre-tie it if you don’t want to be stressed on your day!
Because of this, we have committed to learning how to tie a bowtie and will be bringing a spare clip-on black bowtie to every wedding in the future.

Hannah Getting Ready and First Looks
Once Damien and his crew conquered the bowtie we headed to the condo Hannah was staying in to capture her getting ready.
Hannah, her best friend, and her sister polished off their mimosas after we arrived and then Hannah got her dress on. Her mom stepped in to do her vail and the final zipping of the dress and then Matt got Hannah’s father set up in the backyard for a first look.
She did an adorable first look with her father and went back inside and then we got Damien set up for a first look in the same spot. Damien was blown away by Hannah in her dress and teared up even though he claimed he wasn’t going to (definitely a common occurrence for grooms!)

Off to the ceremony
After the first looks they took a celebratory shot with their bridal party. Shortly after, guests started arriving in the parking area of the condo complex along with the shuttle bus.
Hannah and Damien said hello to everyone and got a look at their newly decorated truck and then they all climbed onto the bus and we headed to The Wedding Tree with a quick pit stop at Glacier View Turnout!

Glacier View Turnout Photos
Hannah and Damien wanted to stop at one spot for photos on the way to the ceremony, so we chose Glacier View Turnout. It’s a gorgeous spot and wouldn’t be too far out of the way.

Ceremony at the wedding tree
We got everyone situated once we made it to The Wedding Tree and then began the ceremony. Damien couldn’t hold back the tears again during the ceremony. It’s impossible to hold back the emotions on your wedding day sometimes so let the tears flow!
The ceremony was beautiful and was officiated by a loved one, which we always recommend if possible. It’s so special having a loved one officiate your ceremony and they usually know you best which can make for a more personal and humerous ceremony.
That being said, there’s multiple great officiants in the Jackson Hole area that we always recommend to our couples!

Special Dances
After celebrating with their loved ones and taking in the moment we hopped into some special dances. Doing your special dances at the tree is always incredible, especially so with string players!

Family and Group Photos
Once special dances were finished we snapped some family and group photos. We always make sure to coordinate with our couples before their day to craft an organized list of all these groupings so it flows nice and quickly on the day!

Couples photos at the tree
After group photos all of the guests went back to hang out at the shuttle for a few minutes while we grabbed some photos of Hannah and Damien up at the tree.
Always make sure to pick up your champagne corks peeps! It’s never fun to find corks from other people out in nature. We always make sure to keep a good eye on where the cork flies when the bottle pops so we can pick it up and leave the area clean and natural for whoever gets to enjoy its beauty next.

Mormon Row Couples Photos
From the tree we stopped at Mormon Row on the way to the reception for a few more couples photos. Hannah and Damien were on the shuttle bus after the ceremony as well so while we were getting photos at Mormon Row all of their guests got to explore the spot too!
The barns and houses at Mormon Row are historic and quite the sight to see. It’s crazy to think that people lived in them many years ago and survived the incredibly harsh winters!

Reception at Osteria
Hannah and Damien hosted their reception at Osteria, which is located in Teton Village. It’s a great option for group sizes of about 20-35ish people and includes a very yummy family style Italian dinner. They did a grand entrance and a loved one said a blessing before dinner. After dinner Hannah’s mother made a toast and Hannah and Damien cut their cake. After their cake cut they mingled amongst all their guests and celebrated the night away!
Congrats to Hannah and Damien, may their marriage be filled with boundless adventures and laughs!
