Gabi and Micah dreamed up a beautiful wedding day in the Tetons that was topped off with an intimate reception back at their rental house. They were staying in a gorgeous rental in Driggs, Idaho. While staying in Driggs or Victor can add extra driving to your day, the value you get for the size of the houses is much better than in Jackson itself!
We arrived at the house in the morning and captured both of them getting ready separately as they wanted to do a first look in the National Park on the way to the ceremony.

First Looks with dad and bridesmaids
Once Gabi was done getting ready, Micah hit the road to the Park and Gabi did an adorable first look with her father followed by one with her bridesmaids. First looks with fathers are always so precious and we always highly recommend doing one on your day if possible!

First Look with Micah at Schwabacher
After the first looks at the Airbnb it was time to hit the road and get to the Park! Micah was waiting at Schwabacher Landing for his first look with Gabi. The main area at Schwabacher Landing is usually packed so we have a trusty spot that’s in a different area of Schwabacher that is typically much less trafficked and offers more privacy.
It was mid September and the fall colors were officially starting to turn which made for a beautiful contrast of yellow leaves and blue sky.
Gabi and Micah did their first look which was super cute and then we snagged a couple quick photos of them before making our way towards the ceremony location.

A few more photos and ceremony time!
On the way to The Wedding Tree they wanted a few photos at Mormon Row so we stopped there for 5-10 minutes to grab some before continuing on.
After that it was up to the tree for their ceremony which was gorgeous. They decided to do their personal vows privately after the ceremony (something that many couples choose to do and can help ease nerves on your day!), so the ceremony was short and sweet with more traditional vows.

Family and Group Photos
After they celebrated for a few minutes with their group we captured family and group photos. We coordinate with our couples before their day to create an organized list of family/group photos which helps us fly through them much quicker! Matt gets people on deck while Lauren takes photos and we’ve gotten the system down pretty darn good by now. The less time posed photos take, the more time you get to spend candidly with your group and the happier they’ll be!

Private Vows and Couples photos
Once we finished family and group photos everyone hit the road and we stayed back with Gabi and Micah so they could exchange their private vows. They exchanged some very sweet words and vows and then we captured a few more photos of the two of them before it was time to head back to the airbnb for the reception.

Reception and Dinner
From The Wedding Tree we drove back to the rental house in Driggs for the reception. When possible, doing your reception at your rental house is such a great way to have your reception! It’s intimate and it’s hard to beat having your own private space. They did some adorable first dances followed by a few toasts from family members, a cake cut, and a fun bubble exit.
After we were done capturing everything they ate dinner and gave us a plate to go which was very generous and we were extremely grateful for it. We hope they had a wonderful rest of their night celebrating and are thankful they chose us to capture their day!
Congrats to Gabi and Micah, may their marriage be filled with boundless adventures and laughs!
