Kyle and Mariah couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day for their elopement in Grand Teton National Park. The air was dead calm and had a fall alpine crispness to it that’s hard to describe until you experience it for yourself in the Jackson Hole Area. They got ready at the condo they were renting near Snow King Resort and then we hit the road to Mormon Row for their first look and ceremony.

Ceremony
Matt and Kyle rode together to Mormon Row so Matt could get Kyle situated for the first look. A few minutes after they left Lauren and Mariah hit the road together. After a cute butt-smacking first look we jumped into their ceremony where they shared their tearful personal vows with each other. The Tetons towered above them and the field was glowing gold in the sunlight.
After their ceremony we let them soak in the moment and then captured a pew pictures of them in the field before heading on to our hike.

Taggart Lake
After Mormon Row we bounced over to the Taggart Lake trailhead and got ready for a hike up to the lake. This hike truly is hard to beat in the fall, especially the first half that’s in the aspen trees. We made our way up to the trail and about 35-40 minutes later we were at the lake.
Kyle and Mariah did their first dance on the shore of the lake and then popped some champagne which they sipped on while taking in the breathtaking up-close view of the the Grand. Besides Delta Lake, the view at Taggart Lake is about the closest you can get to the peaks on a main trail. Believe it or not but pictures don’t do the view from the lake justice!

Night Photos
Once the sun dipped behind the mountains and darkness fell, we busted out a couple lamps and got some awesome shots of the two of them with the shadow of the Tetons behind them. The hike down in the dark was slightly unnerving but we’ve yet to see or hear about a Grizzly on the Taggart Trail and we always have bear spray on us!
These two were such gentle souls and their elopement day was so perfect for them. Congrats to Kyle and Mariah, may their marriage be filled with boundless adventures and laughs!
