Jamie and Andy’s biggest priorities were friends, family, and mountains, so getting married at TAMARACK RESORT was the perfect decision. The venue offers the space, intimacy, and beauty that they were looking for. It ended up being an awesome wedding day topped off with amazing fall colors.
Getting Ready in Tamarack Village
Jamie and Andy were both staying at extravagant rental properties in Tamarack Village, which was only a two minute drive from the wedding venue. The properties were the perfect place to stay and get ready at. Andy wanted to head down to the golf course to get some putting practice in with his groomsmen which made for some funny photos. Jamie did a champagne pop with her bridesmaids and they all enjoyed some fun laid back time before the day got rolling.
First Looks
After arriving at the venue and using the getting ready room to get her dress on it was time for first looks with Andy and her dad. Her dad couldn’t help but let the tears flow when he saw her. After the first look with Andy, they read each other their personal vows. They were going to do it during the ceremony as well, but Jamie also wanted them to do it privately beforehand.
Venue Details
Tamarack is definitely one of our favorite venues in Idaho. The setup is perfect, especially for fall weddings. It involves a beautiful church for ceremonies and a spacey reception hall with a nice paved courtyard in-between. It’s surrounded by aspen trees and pine trees, it’s right at the base of Tamarack Ski Resort, and right near the shores of Cascade Lake. It’s truly hard to beat.
Bridal Party
Jamie and Andy chose to take the family pictures and bridal party pictures in front of the church before the ceremony. This was a good choice because it allowed them to focus on interacting with guests after the ceremony.
Ceremony
The ceremony was held inside of the church, which has beautiful large windows overlooking pine trees and aspen trees. They had about 140-150 guests in attendance, which is the absolute maximum we’d recommend for this venue. There ended up being 4-5 guests that had to stand due to all of the seating being full. After the ceremony was over and everyone had cleared out of the church, Jamie and Andy took some alone time together and signed their marriage license to make it official. Jamie’s best friend officiated the wedding, which is always a nice touch.

Cocktail Hour
After taking some alone time and signing their marriage license it was time to head out of the church for cocktail hour. They were greeted by a tossing of rose pedals by their bridal parties and lots of cheering from the guests. They spent some time interacting with guests and the vibes were killer. Fall evenings in Idaho are beautiful and it was a perfect setting for a wedding.
Bridal Photos
Near the end of the cocktail hour we snuck Jamie and Andy away for a few minutes of bridal photos and we made sure to take advantage of the fall colors that were on the venue grounds.
Reception
The reception got kicked off with some heartfelt speeches given by friends and family. Jamie’s oldest sister whipped out a shot ski that was custom designed for Jamie and Andy. After speeches and first dances they danced the night away with their friends and families. If loved ones are a big priority for you on your wedding day and you love the mountains, Tamarack might be the perfect spot for you.
