The Perfect Mid-Summer Stanley Lake Elopement

Gabby and Matt decided to tie the knot on the shore of Stanley Lake near Stanley, Idaho on a beautiful summer day in June. These two wanted to keep their wedding celebration small and intimate, so they chose to only have their closest family members in attendance. Gabby realized that Matt was the one when they were on a trip to Lake Erie Island hammock-ing, knowing that she wanted a life full of amazing adventures together with him. Their Stanley, Idaho elopement was one to remember!

Getting Ready

Gabby, her sister, and her mom all got ready at a beautiful creek-side cabin in Stanley with a beautiful view of the Sawtooth Mountain range. Check out the cute little cabin they got HERE! Gabby booked some amazing hair and makeup artists to come and make sure she was looking fresh and glowy all day. MAKEUPBYAILEENA and HAILARIE MENDIVE did such an incredible job! Matt decided to get ready at a cabin right down the street from Stanley Lake with his brothers and parents. It was so convenient to be so close to everything!

The Story Behind Why They Chose Stanley Lake

After getting ready, Gabby, Matt, and their families headed over to STANLEY LAKE for a beautiful mid-summer day ceremony at Stanley Lake. Matt and Gabby thought getting married at Stanley Lake would be fitting because of their new last name “Vandermeer”, which means “who lived by a lake”. It was the perfect place to join hands together and become husband and wife! They were joined by 10 family members as their guests, along with one of their good friends who officiated the ceremony. They also couldn’t forget their two adorable dogs!

Hammocks and Beers

Once they wrapped up their ceremony and family photos, Gabby and Matt threw up their hammock and had a little alone time enjoying a beautiful view of Stanley Lake and the company of one another.

Sunset At Our Favorite Secret Spot in Stanley

To finish off the evening, we took Gabby and Matt to one of our favorite spots to have a private view of the sunset! The camp site is usually taken by car campers, but cool weather from earlier that week had scared people off, so we had the whole camping spot to ourselves! It was the perfect way to end their beautiful elopement day! Gabby and Matt had nothing but kind works to say about their experience with us!
